Piftek

Piftek, in his ID card – Mitru Cristian, was born on February 18th 1977, in Bucharest. He had discoverd music in his childhood, but he naturally turned it into a second language in 2005, year that represents his artistic debut.
His gigs from Chillout (Sibiu), Oscar (Cluj), Space (Bucharest), Session (Bucharest), Loggia (Bucharest, where he was a rezident for 2 years), Expirat (Bucharest), Mash Up (Bucharest), Krypton (Craiova), Traian 42, Baraka, Propaganda, La Spatiu and Diamon, placed him in the spotlight.
Etymologically, his stage name has two roots – “Pif”- the cartoon character from “Pif et Hercule” series and “tek” from his musical genre, tech house.
Inspired by people, generally, and particularly by his crowd, he easely builds a way of communicating with the world, through his music. Piftek gives his public exactly what it needs to hear so everybody can have a good time. In his opinion, every artist should be passionate, pacient, involved and ambitious, and these are the aces up Piftek’s sleeve.
His collaborations were numerous and different as well: Warm Up Eddie Richards @ Loggia with Rhadoo and after with Lee Burridge, warm up &after @ Gramophonedzie, warm up & after@Miss Mee, warm up & after@Craig Hamilton, warm up & after@Hector Moralez (2 times), warm up & after@Phil Weeks (2 times), after@Fries & Bridges, warm up & after@Chris Simmonds, after@Inland Knights. For Piftek, the night he mixed with Hector Moralez at Persepolis Hotel was unforgettable because he saw that good music breaks all frontieres and unite people.
