Mihai Amatti

Mihai Ionescu was born in 1977, on 29th of May, in Buzau and later becomes known as Mihai Amatti on the electronic stage. His musical style is deep house, but with a twisted groove. He enjoys the 70’s rock music, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Pink Floyd, and on the other hand he admires artists like Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Moodyman, Rhadoo and Pedro.

The numerous gigs that he had turned out to valuable experiences. Here is a short list of his gigs. In 2008, he played at Citrus with Ali Nasser, in Bacau at Zebra Club (warm-up for Alex Meshkov) and again in Citrus with Praslea. 2009 came with a bunch of gigs: After May Event (Mamaia), Daimon Club, Baraka, The Mission Dance Week-end, Studio Martin with Sven Vath (warm-up and after-hours), Opening Party Cadenza Showcase (warm-up for Digitaline and Alex Picone). In 2010 he mixed in Enigma Club with Roby, in Skye Club with Livio and at Studio Martin ( warm-up for Danny Howells, Reboot, Robert Dietz and Julietta). This year was certainly the fullest for Mihai Amatti, in 2011 he played at The Ark, In Deep and Dance, I love Festival, Ambasad’or with Jay Bliss and Summer Set Nights ( warm-up for Dyed Soundorom, Cezar and Kozo). Once he will release his new EPs, Mihai Amatti becomes a name that is known outside Romania. For him, the most important gigs were at Studio Martin with Reboot and Robert Dietz and at No Name in Timisoara.

He astonishes his fans alternating the ecstatic moods with the deep ones, spicing his mixes with both a classical refinement and old school spirit. “Expect the unexpected” is a motto that keeps him focused and on guard.
